Company History

Ideal Work Elite Crete Ltd is the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier to the decorative concrete and architectural flooring industry. The original UK Company, Elite Crete, was founded by Bob Ingham in 1991. With more than 19 years of history in imprinted concrete, Elite Crete has developed a premium product line for the stamped concrete market.

In 2008 Bob Ingham began to search for new and innovative products to introduce to Elite Crete, ensuring the company remained at the forefront of the industry. It was at this point that Elite Crete and Ideal Work were introduced to each other.

Elite Crete and Ideal Work began negotiations regarding Elite Crete becoming an exclusive distributor for Ideal Work systems in the UK. During the talks, it became apparent that Ideal Work and Elite Crete shared similar company philosophies. In 2009 Elite Crete decided to sell the company to Ideal Work over the next three years allowing Bob and Sheila Ingham to plan there happy retirement from the company.

Since 2009 the company has been rebranded as Ideal Work Elite Crete: by combining the two names the company has become the strongest brand and the leader of the decorative concrete manufacturing business in Europe.

Decorative concrete is one of the fastest growing sectors of the construction industry. Over the past 30 years stamped concrete and coloured concrete have been the main focus for the decorative concrete market. Ideal Work Elite Crete - a subsidiary of Ideal Work, an Italian based manufacturer of decorative concrete products and systems - have introduced more than 2,000 innovative products, tools and pieces of specialist equipment to the UK market.
